この絵本には絵だけがあって、文章がない。絵を見れば、だれでも理解できるから。

のちに「ストーリーブック」と称するお話の文章が付け加わった童話版が出た。けれども、たぶん視覚障害者以外の人にとってみれば、それは想像力の退化を促す改悪版でしかないような気がする。
